Emus pay for poor kicking
Wednesday 30 April, 2008 12:01am
A FAILURE with the boot cost Penrith Emus dearly in Saturday's Shute Shield clash with Eastwood at TG Millner Field.
The Woodies won 39-27 after leading 15-10 at half-time.
Both sides scored five tries apiece.
But it was the kicking prowess of Eastwood's Ben Batger that proved crucial.
His 19-point haul piloted the Woodies to a 12-point win, their second of the season.
Penrith managed to capture their second bonus point of the season.
Campbell Sione grabbed a double to bring his season try tally to seven.
